OPAL
Opals are among the few jewels that have been worn since the beginning of time, along with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and pearls. Play-of-color is a phenomenon whereby opals change color as you spin or move the gemstone. These beautiful stones, which contain up to 20% water, are composed of microscopic silica and oxygen spheres that originated in clay layers. It has also been regarded as the most beautiful and exciting of all gemstones. The reason for this is the mysterious play-of-color that is displayed as the stone moves. Add to this the brilliance and variety of the different colors contained within this phenomenon and you have a remarkable gem. Opal doublets are slices of opal adhered to a backing, usually common opal. Doublets cause the color to be more vibrant and offer protection to the delicate stone. Doublets are acceptable in the jewelry industry due to this.
DIAMONDS
Diamonds are by far the most popular gemstone in the world. Their durability, brilliance, and fire have stood the test of time throughout generations. The diamond is the birthstone for April and is also used as the official 60th-anniversary gemstone. Diamonds are known for being the traditional engagement ring stone of choice, representing "forever". Salt and pepper diamonds continue to trend as an alternative engagement ring option, as they are still diamonds but with a twist. Rose cut diamonds fall into the same category too, giving an ethereal, vintage, and antique look.
The law requires that treated diamonds be disclosed. The colored diamonds in this piece are color-enhanced utilizing the industry's only two approved color-enhancement methods for diamonds: irradiation and/or high temperature and high pressure. The high quality of the diamonds is not affected, changed, or altered in any way during these enhancements. High heat and recutting should be avoided since they may harm the stones.
Opal doublets should never be soaked, immersed, or cleaned with jewelry cleaners. You may clean with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Handle opal jewelry with care, as opals are sensitive to shocks, scratching, and sudden changes in temperature.
