For the last month I've been busy every weekend. I've been walking new shows I recently heard about to see if my client would attend, and in so I've been making decisions if I should try to apply for next year as well. If I wasn't walking a show I was with my mom, prepping setup for the shows I hope to attend.
Peridot is the birthstone for the month. It is unique in that it is one of the few gems that come in one color. I had no idea pinwheels have been around for such a long time...dating back to 400 B.C.! They are often used in Chinese New Year celebrations, as a wish and hope that all have good luck and fortune. I wanted to create a piece of jewelry that was a different type of charm than what most people see time and time again. In my research I came across the pinwheel, which means to "turn one's luck around".
