Practicing Show Setup and Lighting

I've been a bit quiet over the last month or so, both with sending these emails and on social media.  However, there is a good reason for this.  There are at least 5 shows I would like to attend next year.  I haven't been able to apply to all of them yet since not all the applications have come out, but should know for sure by the end of the year if I've been accepted.  For the last month I've been busy every weekend.  I've been walking new shows I recently heard about to see if my client would attend, and in so I've been making decisions if I should try to apply for next year as well.  If I wasn't walking a show I was with my mom, prepping setup for the shows I hope to attend.

In this post I'm giving yoSincerely Ginger Jewelry Lightsu a sneak peek at what we have been up to behind the scenes at our preparations.  I don't know what I would do without my talented mom.  She is creative to begin with, but has put in 100+ hours of research into everything (mostly the lighting) in order for us to get it right the first time around.  A designer can have the most beautiful pieces ever, but if the lighting isn't perfect the jewelry looks unappealing.  The shade from the tent, or even the clouds if outside, greatly diminish what the jewelry actually looks like.

Sincerely Ginger Jewelry Lights UpI wish I could show you the whole setup in this post, but we are not finished yet with everything.  Some questions are still remaining with the display cases you will see in the videos.  We have planned a week of camping over the Thanksgiving holiday to have the entire setup completed.  We had some bumps along the way that prevented us from finishing everything in the time we had originally allotted.  Below are a few videos that show us at work.  Everything has literally been DIY, which makes it even more special.  I hope you find it interesting.

If you haven't picked up The Devaluing of Jewelry and the "Walmart Mentality" you can do so here. I hope you find it educational.
